Scott’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held September 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Town of Scott residents at the Town of Scott Maintenance Building at 118 Lions Club Road. Scott, LA 70583.
OPEN ONLY TO ALL RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF SCOTT.
Participants must show proof of residency. (Driver’s license, water bill). Accepts paints, automotive batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, household cleaners, household chemicals, pesticides, flammables, corrosives, other hazardous products and appliances (old appliances, refrigerators, stoves, water heaters), electronic waste (computers, monitors, printers , scanners, Palm accessories, power, supplies, backup batteries, cables, toner/ink cartridges, hard drives, CD-ROMs, speakers, VCRs, DVD players, stereo equipment, televisions, game consoles, cameras digital devices, any audio or video equipment, network equipment, tape drives, test equipment, fax machines, keyboards, voice/tape recorders, radio, Walkman products, calculators, cell phones and phone accessories).
LIMITED TO 5 TIRES PER VEHICLE. No tires over 500 lbs. will be accepted.
THIS COLLECTION IS ONLY FOR HOUSEHOLDS. Large quantities from businesses, farms or commercial operations will not be accepted.
PROHIBITED: infectious and medical waste, biological and radioactive materials, compressed gas cylinders, ammunition, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and explosives.
