Pablo and Josefina Vazquez outside Quality Household Goods at 1618 Broadway in north Everett.

There is a large selection of new and used appliances.

For years, Pablo Vazquez worked for a large recycling company that discarded many household items that were still in good condition or only needed minor repairs.

“I told my boss I could fix a lot of these things and people would want them,” Pablo said during a recent visit. Quality household items were born.

Six years ago, after a long search for the right location, he found a place at 1618 Broadway in north Everett. He started selling used mattresses. These took up a lot of space, so after a while he switched to household appliances.

He goes through every device to make sure it’s working properly, makes any necessary repairs, and says he won’t sell anything that doesn’t work well.

He will tell customers which is the best working model, but says some still have branded favorites that they are loyal to.

During the pandemic, quality homewares had to shut down for a few weeks like most businesses, but things really picked up again, especially with freezers becoming their number one item.

“When all the major retailers were sold out, people stocking up for the pandemic turned to us for used freezers,” Pablo said. “Things got really busy.”

Quality Household Goods offers new and used appliances, including washers and dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, ovens and barbecues. It is a family business run by Pablo, his wife Josefina and daughter Diana.

“My wife and I are the delivery team,” Pablo said with a smile.

“We focus on helping the community,” Josefina told us. “Pablo is going to do business with people, come talk to us.”

The store is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. They are closed on Sundays.

You can read more about quality household products on their Facebook page, but since the selection can change daily, the best idea is to stop by the store at 1618 Broadway in North Everett. The phone number is (425) 212-9724

“Everyone is welcome here,” said Pablo. “I like to help.”
