It’s that time again. Need to do some spring cleaning? I know I do. the Mercer County Improvement Authority announced that they are hosting a free household hazardous waste and electronics recycling event on Saturday, March 26 at the Dempster Fire School on Lawrence Station Road in Lawrence Township.

I’m looking forward to it Event every year. This is the perfect time to get rid of items that take up space in your home. If you have old televisions, microwaves, computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, stereos, oil-based paints, paint thinners, car batteries, propane gas tanks, insect repellent, etc., it’s the day to finally purge them. You know you’re not allowed to put these things in your household trash, right?

Here are more details: The event will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rain or shine. You must have proof that you are a resident of Mercer County (driver’s license is fine). For a full list of items you can and cannot bring, please click here.

Remember that workers have the right to refuse you if the above guidelines have not been followed. They won’t take anything that isn’t listed.
