Fury as a social media post telling struggling families they will receive the 4th $ 2,500 stimulus check in July is just a joke
Americans remained furious after realizing that an article telling cash-strapped families they were getting a fourth stimulus check this month was bogus.
A Facebook post claimed that a fourth stimulus bill had passed and that payments worth up to $ 2,500 would arrive in bank accounts by July 30.
He said: “It happened 10 minutes ago!” Everyone gets another $ 2,500 stimulus check. They did it!”
Many Facebook users shared the misrepresentation but were furious when they realized that an additional check wasn’t coming anytime soon.
One blasted: You li mf you got me (sic).
Another said: “This is fucking fake.”
One social media user said, “Lying a **”, as the claims spread through multiple accounts on the social networking site.
The message provided users with “instructions” on how to claim dunning control.
But, Americans who clicked on the link were treated with a middle finger monkey, according to USA Today.

This is not the first time that hoaxes have circulated on social networks with the aim of deceiving Americans.
A social media user claimed Congress would approve a new round of $ 2,000 stimulus checks before Memorial Day weekend.
The post has been shared nearly 250 times.
Fact-checkers debunked this allegation and an additional round of stimulus cash was not introduced.
The third round of stimulus, which allows households to receive checks worth up to $ 1,400, was adopted in March as part of Joe Biden’s US bailout.
But Americans could be on the cusp of another round of stimulus payments, as a petition calling for additional cash has reached more than three million signatures.
The petition was started by Colorado restaurant owner Stephanie Bonin and first posted on Change.org last year.
It reads: “I call on Congress to support families with a payment of $ 2,000 for adults and a payment of $ 1,000 for children immediately, and by continuing regular check-ups throughout the crisis. .
“Otherwise, laid-off workers, workers on leave, the self-employed and workers on reduced hours will find it difficult to pay their rent or put food on the table. “
She urges lawmakers to target checks on Americans who are struggling to pay debts such as rent and child care.
Bonin wrote: “To move forward, Congress must automate recurring checks if certain triggers are met.
“No more waiting for our government to send the help we need.
The petition garnered so much support that Change.org recognized it in its list of the 10 Best Petitions That Changed 2020.
Now that it has hit three million, the petition has become one of the most signed on the site.
President Biden appears reluctant to introduce monthly checks worth up to $ 2,000 as some lawmakers are calling for the introduction of a fourth and even a fifth check.
More than 20 Democratic senators sent a letter in March, calling on Biden to make recurring payments.
Lawmakers said: “Almost 6 in 10 people say the $ 1,400 payments that are to be included in the bailout will last them less than three months.”
They also argued that additional payments could help lift more than 18 million Americans above the poverty line.
The calls for additional stimulus funds come after most families have received their first child tax credit payment.
Households with children up to the age of six are online to receive payments of up to $ 300 per month.
Families will receive six installments before the end of the year and the next check will be sent to bank accounts on August 13.
